Abeeshmon P. V. has achieved notable success in the field of aquatic sports. He secured the second prize in the 30th Kerala State School Aquatic Championship and emerged as the Kerala Ulsavam State Winner. His dedication to the sport goes beyond competition, as he also serves as a swimming instructor and lifeguard in the ‘Splash Project’ under the Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala. He holds certifications as a lifeguard from both the Bharatheeya Lifesaving Society and the Rashtriya Lifesaving Society. Additionally, he possesses expertise in pool maintenance. With an impressive 12 years of experience, he has actively participated in the Kerala State Master’s Swimming Games Championship, solidifying his role as a valuable asset to the aquatic sports community.

Head Coach – Manappuram Swimming Academy


MR. SARAT CHANDRAN is the Head Coach at Manappuram Swimming Academy, Hailing from Trivandrum, Kerala, bringing over 30 years of professional swimming and coaching experience along with an exceptional competitive sporting background. A former National-level Water Polo player and Senior Swimming Coach with the Indian Navy, he is widely respected for his technical expertise, discipline, and commitment to developing swimmers of all ages and abilities.
He holds an A Grade Diploma in Swimming Coaching from the National Institute of Sports (NIS), Bengaluru, one of India’s highest coaching qualifications. His extensive experience in elite aquatic sports enables him to deliver scientifically structured training programs that focus on stroke technique, endurance, performance, and competitive excellence.

    Mr. VIJISH KANNAN is one of the male trainers at Manappuram Swimming Academy. Hailing from Palakkad, Kerala, Mr. Vijish Kannan won the District gold medal for back stroke event in 2011&2012. Before transitioning to his coaching career, he was a national-level competitive swimmer and he has Asca level1 & level 2 Certificate, amassing 10 years of experience in this field.

    Mr. SARATH KUMAR

    Mr. Sarath Kumar is one of the male trainer at Manappuram Swimming Academy. Hailing from Alappuzha, Kerala. He has won District individual champion continuously from 2000 to 2008. Before transitioning to her coaching career, he was a State-level swimmer & he has completed ASCA Level1, KSA Level-1 & Lifeguard certificate in 2023 with 13 years of experience in this field.

    Ms. SALU B

    Ms. Salu B is a dedicated swimming coach at Manappuram Swimming Academy. Hailing from Palakkad, Kerala, she is a former National-level swimmer with an impressive competitive background.
    She has represented her state in Water Polo Championships, winning Silver and Bronze medals in the Kerala State Water Polo Championships during 2017, 2018, 2021, and 2022. She also secured Gold Medals at the Inter-College Championships in 2022 and 2024, and has participated in the All-India University Championships.
    Ms. Salu is an ASCA Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Swimming Coach,she is passionate about teaching swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Her experience as a competitive athlete, combined with her technical coaching knowledge, enables her to provide structured, safe, and effective training while inspiring swimmers to achieve their full potential.
